embrace update

"They were sitting about the fire after dinner, and all looked as if a little sunshine would do them good. It had been a dull November day, but all of a sudden the clouds lifted and a bright ray shot into the room."

I wanted to thank all of those that have been knitting, crocheting, donating fabric and over all sending love that will embrace a family that has had to face a deep heartache.

The knitted/crochet squares have been overflowing the basket and surpassed our original amount! We are still getting sweet little squares and although we will begin to weave them together, no squares will be left out. If you are currently making one, please bring it by Grandma's Beads and Yarn on Main St. soon so we can begin the process of weaving everyone's kindness into blankets.

The fabric squares are coming along as well, like many projects and expressions of support, we have had a variety of sizes and will be changing up the design but not the end result. We will be working on sewing the fabric blankets as well, so if you would like to drop off a square(s) please bring them in this week (Sept 6th - 9th), if possible or send me an email for a heads up.

The goal for the finished blankets is still around the middle of October.
